The 2010 Show at the Strand is all about artists: ones that make music. As you will see in the descriptions, many of these musicians are actually out on the sidewalk by the Australian Bakery on the Marietta Square weekly. Other musicians are from various places including Little 5 Points in Atlanta, from a friend’s pictures of the BB King show, from my old sketches of Mariachi bands from years past and so on. This show was probably the most challenging task I have had to date as an artist; painting people is not easy and especially when one had not painted people in years.
